Dear Rain

Dear Rain,

I first noticed you at two, my knees were scratched and you cooled them off. I played outside with you so many days during my childhood. I saw my mom try to hide her tears with you. I remember you comforted me when the days were too hot. I remember you made my brother laugh, as he tried to drink you. You have been around, and sometimes I took you for granted, you know like an old married couple. But now that I am older, I realize all that you do, and all that you give to me and our world, and our environment. Thanks rain for being there. Thanks rain for showering me when I doubted my path, and sustaining the beauty of nature. Thanks rain,  you have been and always will be my good ole friend.
